A regional enclosed mall, Pacific View Mall is situated in Ventura, California, on the West Coast. It was originally known as Buenaventura Center and Buenaventura Plaza. It encompasses about 1,000,000 square feet of leasable space (93,000 m2).

Broadway, the center's first business, opened its doors in September 1963. The open-air Buenaventura Center was constructed between 1962 and 1965. 1964 saw the opening of online retailers such as Barker Brothers Furniture, Kimo's Polynesian Shop, F.W. Woolworth, and a Vons-Shopping Bag Supermarket. Beginning operations in November 1965, J.C. Penney.
