There is a sad story associated with this place. Legends say that a young mother named Ka Likai threw herself off the edge of the waterfall, out of grief that her daughter (from a previous marriage) was killed by her new husband. Thus, the fall has been known ever since as Nohlakikai. The waterfall is extremely beautiful in the monsoon when the water drops directly into the pool below, making it even more mesmerizing. Therefore, the ideal time to visit is in the monsoon when the falls are in top form. Stairs can also be found, which will take you to various other lookout points. One can buy some amazing souvenirs from the local stalls around. Get an enchanting view of the grand waterfall on your tour.
