This waterfall was one of the 28 finalists in the election of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

Despite the fact that this jump is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the country, it is difficult to visit it, since the trip to the falls is not easy. As the area where it is located is surrounded by forest, the only way to access it is by plane flight from the capital of the country or from Ciudad Bolívar, to reach a Canaima camp.

As a curious fact, this waterfall was the inspiration for the fictional jungle in the Pixar movie "Up ", where the protagonist tries to take his house to the top of the "Paradise Falls", in clear allusion to Angel Falls.
