"Citadel" rises above the village for several tens of meters. From the western side, it appears in the form of a huge cylindrical tower propped up by a rocky spur, as if cut off with a scalpel. Under the houses there is a hundred-meter tunnel, laid in the tuff of the mountain in ancient times. In the event of a siege, it was supposed to serve to connect the fortress with the outside world and provide water supply. Here, as well as in Ortahisar, the modern part of the city is mainly associated with tourist services. From here, the whole village opens up and you can clearly see, as if carved by hand for millennia, bizarre round pillars standing in deep crevices.
