Mid-City Mall | Shopping mall in Louisville, Kentucky

In the Highlands neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky, there is a mall called Mid-City Mall. Even though it includes an enclosed shopping section and is named a mall, it has amenities that are not common in suburban American malls, such as a comedy club, bar, grocery store, and public library.

According to a 1994 Courier-Journal story from Louisville, Kentucky, the mall could be regarded as Louisville's "crossroads" and was only partially a mall because it also served as a community center, courthouse square, and recreation area for an elderly community.
