Lake Walcott State Park, Idaho (with Map & Photos)

Lake Walcott State Park was founded in 1999 near the lake of the same name. It is located in a picturesque mountainous area, at an altitude of 1400 meters above sea level. The territory of the park occupies about 26 hectares of land, on which the Minidoka National Reserve is located. Wildlife abounds in the park and along the coastline. Here you can meet deer, raccoons, porcupines, squirrels and enjoy the singing of birds.

The stunning nature of this park provides unlimited opportunities for a variety of outdoor activities. In the area accessible to tourists, there are comfortable campsites where you can book places. There are about 10 kilometers of hiking trails with viewing platforms in the park. Water sports are very popular here, especially windsurfing and sailing. Those who wish to spend time alone with nature can simply sit in the shade of mighty trees and enjoy the silence.
