Amarnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is considered a holy place for Hindus as it is believed to be the earthly residence of the Lord. Located at a height of 3,888 meters, the cave contains four or five ice formations resembling the figures of various gods. According to tradition, the largest one is worshiped as Amarnath or God Shiva, the one on the left as God Ganesha, and the one on the right as Goddess Parvati.

Amarnath cave temple is a Hindu shrine located in Jammu and Kashmir, India. The cave is located at an altitude of 3,888 m (12,756 ft), about 141 km (88 mi) from Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, which can be reached via the city of Pahalgam. The shrine is an important part of Hinduism, and is considered one of the holy places in Hinduism. The cave is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. The cave itself is covered in snow for most of the year, except for a short period in the summer when it is open to pilgrims. Hundreds of thousands of Hindus and other devotees make the pilgrimage to the Amarnath cave every year through the challenging mountainous terrain.
