What to See in Ras Mohammed National Park

Mangrove Trees

These are the only trees in the world that can desalinate water. They grow, as it were, upside down. These trees easily absorb salty sea water, and salt crystals are imprinted on their leaves. Whole groves of these trees grow on the island. They are not particularly beautiful and are of interest only as a curiosity. These groves have been chosen by local birds - they build nests here and breed chicks, so there is a constant din of birds among the trees.

Coral Reefs

They are considered the largest and best in the Northern Hemisphere. They extend in depth from the coast itself. Diving enthusiasts will see more than 150 species of inhabitants of the deep sea in clear water. These reefs look like extraordinary fairy forests. There are corals of many breeds, hard and soft, and fish and animals scurry among them, which do not live anywhere else in the world - after all, not a single river flows into the Red Sea, and therefore it has its own unique ecosystem.

Lake of Desires

This is a wonderful bay, it is also called "Magic". The composition of its water is almost similar to that of the Dead Sea. According to the existing legend, everyone who plunges into it with his head will have all his most secret desires come true. That's just during the dive, it is worth considering that the water in the bay is quite cold. And here there are the same useful mud as in the Dead Sea - it is allowed to smear them for free.
