Lake Tai is a large lake in the People's Republic of China located in the Yangtze River delta. With an area of ​​2,250 km² and an average depth of 2 m, it is the third largest freshwater lake in the country, after Poyang Lake and Dongting Lake.

Lake Taihu or Lake Tai (太湖, Tài Hú, literally "Great Lake") is a large and picturesque lake in China, on the border of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. The lake area receives many visitors from nearby major cities - Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Nanjing - as well as from those surrounding the lake. It provides the main somewhat rural getaway for East China.
