Staubbach Waterfall is the first waterfall you will see in the Lauterbrunnen Falls Valley. It was very easy to spot as soon as we got close to the city of Lauterbrunnen, it can be seen on the right. Views from the town include the U-shaped Lauterbrunnen valley, the Swiss Alps, the Eiger peaks, the Mönch and the Jungfrau.

The height of the Staubbach Waterfall is 297 meters, and almost all of this is in free fall. This is one of the highest waterfalls in Europe with a net vertical drop. Leaving the car in a paid parking lot on the outskirts of the town, you can go to the bottom of the waterfall. After walking along the path, you find yourself in a tunnel through which you can reach the platform located directly behind the waterfall. You can get a little wet depending on the direction of the wind.
