Reykjanes is a peninsula in the southwest of Iceland, a few kilometers from Reykjavík. It is washed from the north by the waters of Faxaflow Bay, and from the west and south by the Atlantic Ocean. It is 50 km long and 20 km wide. There are several fishing towns on the peninsula, as well as Keflavik International Airport and a former American base. Reykjanes is sparsely covered with vegetation, which is caused by strong volcanic activity.

The Reykjanes peninsula is located in the southwestern part of Iceland and is a boot-shaped area extending towards the Atlantic Ocean.
