History

The first mention of it in history dates back to the beginning of the fourteenth century. The very name of the castle served as the basis for the formation of the Waldstein family. For three centuries, the castle was subjected to military destruction. Already at the beginning of the fifteenth century, it had a new owner, and after a couple of decades, robbers settled here at all, until the Prague army returned the building to its former owner.

The descendants of the founder from the Waldstein family built a chapel in the castle complex and carried out a general reconstruction, as a result of which it was considered a building in the Baroque style. But already in the 19th century, a new reconstruction was required, which is being carried out by a new owner, the son of a merchant from Prague.
