Daytona is known for many things, but it is known worldwide for its beach. Daytona Beach became world famous as a race track in the early days of the automobile. Many speed records were achieved on these beaches years ago. Cars are still allowed on the beach but their speed is limited to 10 miles per hour.
Daytona Beach is currently a group of community beaches that come together to create a large stretch of sand. It consists of two distinct and well-defined regions, the beach part, which borders the Atlantic Ocean, and the inland part to the east. As what interests us is the part of the beach, we will only talk about this area.

Along the beach, along the wide promenade, there are several centers with very different activities, mini golf, video game shops, places to have an aperitif, etc. On this same promenade we can find a good number of nightclubs and cocktail bars. The whole area is filled with a festive atmosphere, both during the day and at night.

Water skis, windsurfing boards and motor boats can be rented on the boardwalk. On the beach itself you can also rent floats, umbrellas, water scooters, bicycles, and also quads to ride around the area.

Remember that Daytona has one of the few beaches that allow motorized vehicles to be used on the sand and where the waves break. It is certainly a peculiar and fascinating experience to drive one of these vehicles bordering the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
Daytona beach is usually quite crowded throughout the year, since apart from the summer months, the spring months, thousands of students come to rest from the rigors of school giving the area a very lively atmosphere.
