Description of The Park

Sehlabathebe National Park - If there is a heaven on earth, then it is at an altitude of 2450 meters. Those who have already visited the Lesotho National Park - Sehlabathebe are sure of this. It is located in the east of the country near the border with South Africa, on the very edge of the Drakensberg Highlands. Many millennia ago, a tectonic shift of basalt rocks took place here. As a result, a kind of sandstone ledge was formed. The waters of the tributaries of the Orange River, almost powerless against basalt, with "enthusiasm" began to work on sandstone rocks. And, I must say, they were quite successful in this.
