The temple is best known for the impressive Fukuoka Daibutsu, one of Japan’s largest seated wooden Buddha statues. Standing over ten meters tall, the statue is housed inside the main hall, where visitors can also explore a symbolic underground passage representing the journey through Buddhist teachings.

Within the temple grounds, visitors will find a striking five-story pagoda, traditional architecture, and peaceful courtyards that offer a calm retreat from the surrounding city. Seasonal changes, especially cherry blossoms in spring, add to the temple’s serene beauty.
