In Parole, Maryland, close to Annapolis, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield owns the retail center known as Westfield Annapolis Mall, which is situated not far from the intersection of U.S. Route 50 and Interstate 97. In addition to the mall's longtime tenants Macy's and JCPenney, notable specialty retailers Free People, Intimissimi, Janie & Jack, and Crate & Barrel are also present as of 2022.

The location was once home to the Washington, Baltimore, and Annapolis Electric Railway's Annapolis terminus, also known as the "Best Gate" station. It featured three single-ended sidings and four double-ended sidings where rail cars could be shifted onto or off of the WB&A's single-track east-west railway that connected to the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad and Pennsylvania Railroad lines. The adjoining Bestgate Road, which presently runs along the mall's northern edge, received its name from this "Best Gate" station.
