In Burlington Township, New Jersey, there formerly stood the shopping center known as Burlington Center. The Rouse Company of Columbia, Maryland constructed it. Sears, JCPenney, and Macy's served as its pillars.

Only Sears remained operational after the mall's shutdown on January 8, 2018, and it did so until September 2, 2018. Early in 2021, the mall's demolition got underway.
