Old Town Annapolis and William Paca House

The few blocks between the  Town Dock  and  the Maryland State House  are filled with equal measure of history and charm. Once the United States Capitol, the State House is the oldest parliament still in continuous use.

A little further down the hill, through narrow streets lined with picture-worthy adobe and clapboard buildings, is the Casa y Parterre de William Paca, home to the signer of the Explanation of Independence, William Paca. Fully restored and furnished with period antiques and original items from the Paca clan, the house is an outstanding example of the home of an influential and prosperous Colonial-era Annapolis clan and is on the  Domestic Register of Historic Places  .

The two-acre orchard, with terraces, topiary and a fish-shaped pond, has likewise been restored to its 1760 appearance.
