What is Xunantunich?

How to get there?
Xunantunich is located in the Belize district of Cayo, near the Mopan River. The distance to Belize is 130 km. Nearby is the Guatemalan border.
- The best way to get to Xunantunich is by car. The route is the city of San Ignacio. 6-7 km (or 7 minutes) to cross the Mopan River with armpits (free of charge, open from 07:30 to 16:00, it may not work from time to time during the rainy season). You can go by car or car. After the ferry - 3 km (30 min walk) to the last place. Walking will not be easy - the road begins.

- Another way to get to the devastated areas: buses (buses, private traders) reach the village near the border. Further - similar to San Ignacio and Xunantunich. The bus stop is steam.
- If you are traveling on a cruise liner, you can take a tour of Belize to Xunantunich (this time organized and quiet). The duration of the tour is 7 hours (including about 2 hours per trip). If the group is not late for the liner - you can wait! If you are alone - there is no time to return on time, without risk, without you.
