Alley of the Baobabs

Avenue of the Baobabs - Although in fact, if you dig deeper, this alley will turn out to be the best monument to greed, cynicism and human duplicity. Well, first of all, there used to be a forest here. Not very thick, like in Kirindi. A normal forest, with lemurs, chameleons, flocks of birds and all related activities. Where is he now? In the same place where other millions of hectares are - in the furnace of the Malagasy. Baobabs is listed low among local lumberjacks, besides, it is often sacred - you can’t cut it, and there’s no need to stupidly. Wood in Madagascar is an order of magnitude better: polysander, rosewood... So these two or three dozen giant idols remained standing among the many kilometers of clearing around.

Secondly, in 2007, something like a natural monument was founded here in order to develop tourism in the region.

Third, the Chinese are here. Not much yet, but… The place is far from being wild.

If you look through the eyes of a tourist, then yes - it’s beautiful, exotic, and at sunset and dawn it’s just wow!
