The main island, Ilha de Fernando de Noronha, is the only one inhabited. To prevent possible damage to nature, only 420 tourists can arrive on the island at a strictly defined time. In this unspoiled land, 70% of which is a national park, there are many secluded bungalows. They are always packed with tourists and booked well in advance of the season in December-January.

The most imposing building in the city of Vila before Trint is Forte dos Remedios, an ancient reminder of the Portuguese occupation. Founded in 1737, the fort is very old - the ancient cannons are almost half buried in the sand, and the defensive fortifications seem to be about to collapse. On the cobblestone streets, you can see the interesting yellow and white Baroque church, Igreja Nossa Senhora dos Remedios, built in 1772, as well as the bright red colonial-style palace, Palacio San Miguel.

Other islands in the archipelago are characterized by different geological formations. Eroded enough to become an inverted pyramid, Mayo Island is recognized by sailors from afar, while the neighboring island, Sela Zhineta Cliff, is also recognizable for its resemblance to a cowboy saddle. The island of Sha-po do Suesto has been compared to a small mushroom, and the Fra-de, it is said, resembles a bell - not only in shape but also in the sound of the waves scattering from striking its rocky chest. The island of Moro do Leno resembles a reclining sea lion, and two imposing dark volcanic islands, Dois and Iran, are said to resemble a woman's breasts.

Whatever you see in the outlines of these cliffs, the image of a tropical paradise will remain in your heart forever.
