The closest city to the formation is Belogradchik and it is from this beautiful city of seven thousand people that they take their name. The Balkans are full of myths and legends and no place echoes the mythology and folklore of the region better than the rocks of Belogradchik.
Composition
Its formation is from limestone, sandstone and conglomerates. These are composed of fragments or clasts of pre-existing rock joined together in a matrix and are sedimented in nature. Sedimentation occurs when rock particles that are in suspension are removed from the liquid in which they are contained and form the rock.

Spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometers, the formation's central group of rocks is located to the south of the city - and this is where visitors flock. There you will find rocks that bear names such as Adam and Eve, the Wild One, the Goddess Bendida, and Velko Rebelde.
