A notable building is the Pitston Windmill, which is owned by the National Trust. Previously, a windmill could rotate to resist the prevailing wind, as evidenced by a wheel protruding from one side of the structure. Although he can no longer do this, the wheel remains and its pivot point is clearly visible.
