The three terrain parks set this location apart from any other ski resort in North Carolina, making it exceptionally attractive to expert riders. However, to ride the top tier of apps, a Park Pass is a must. To get one, you must pass a test, which can be taken on site or online.

Apalachian is an excellent resort for beginners, too, with groomed slopes and non-threatening slopes suitable for intermediate-level skiers. Here is a large lodge at the base, with a huge deck overlooking the slopes and a stone fireplace inside. A unique lift ticket system and a number of special events are present here throughout the ski season.
