Australian folklorist Joseph Jacobs in 1892. collected Celtic tales in a collection. And one fairy tale "The Bouncy Tailor" is associated with Saddell Castle.

According to the plot of the tale, Lord MacDonald hired a tailor and ordered several trousers for him. And also offered to sew trousers for the night in an old church for a large reward. But, a ghost lived in this church.

The tailor knew about him and did not become discouraged, but, on the contrary, was inspired and tuned himself to the promised reward. Arriving at church in the evening, he found a comfortable place, lit a candle and began to sew trousers.

And then suddenly a ghost appeared, but the tailor did not quit. The ghosting tried to frighten the tailor more and more each time, but he always answered the same thing: "I see, but I will not quit my job."

In the end, the ghost uttered a terrible roar, but the tailor had already finished the work, extinguished the candle and ran to the Saddell Castle as fast as he could. I ran to the castle, and the ghost, not having time to catch up with the tailor, left a five-fingerprint on the wall out of anger. Although the trousers were sewn with different stitches, the tailor received his award.
