Howrah Bridge or Rabindra Setu Bridge is the largest cantilever bridge in the world, one of the famous landmarks of Kolkata.

The bridge covers the Hooghly River with a single span of 705 meters. The height of the bridge reaches ninety seven meters.

Howrah Bridge was built during World War II, in 1943, to allow allied forces to approach the Burmese Front.
